“以前都是在室外锻炼，现在条件好了，每天都可以免费到这个场馆里排练广场舞。”村民汪冬娇开心地说，珍珠山体育中心的建设也带动了村里的经济发展，很多村民都开了民宿增收致富。村民陶杏芬告诉记者，“村里的姐妹们平时会聚在一起跳舞，现在有了新场馆，县城里专业的指导员会定期过来教柔力球项目，帮助我们强身健体。”

“体育+旅游”的品牌打造，让珍珠山成为了一块焕发着无限生机与活力的热土，也让这里的全民健身氛围日渐浓厚。作为珍珠山乡变化的见证者，婺源县柔力球协会会长陈静称，“自从珍珠乡镇变身体育小镇，当地百姓的精神面貌焕然一新。”婺源县被誉为“全国柔力球之乡”，陈静会定期带队到这里普及柔力球运动，作为场馆的受益者，她很珍惜这里的改变，也因此尝试通过购买体彩来为公益做一份贡献。

以种地为生的农民汪得亨从2017年开始，在政府的帮助下对自建房进行改造，提升相关配套设施，增加体育主题元素，专门用来接待赛事运动员，家里的年收入已从当初的几千元提升至几万元。返乡创业的村民方冬爱，为了提升当地的民宿品质，从设计到装修，前后投入了300多万元，她对这里打造“国家运动休闲特色小镇”的发展充满了信心。
